What to do if your material is not supported by Smart Slice

Do you want to use Smart Slice with a material that is not supported? There are a few things you can do:

  • Contact us and let us know that you want your material to be tested and characterized so that it can be included in future releases of Smart Slice.

  • In the meantime, we recommended that you select a substitute material from the same class of polymer as your material. For example, if you have an ABS filament from Manufacturer XYZ and that filament is not supported by Smart Slice, select a supported ABS filament from a different manufacturer (BASF ABS Fusion+, for example) or select the generic Ultimaker ABS material.
